A Sky That Tells a Story

A Sky That Tells a Story

In our previous article, we explored the wishes carried by koinobori.

Now, those wishes become part of the landscape.

Along the river, they appear.

Not one.

Not two.

But many.

They stretch across the sky, carried by the same wind.

Black. Red. Blue. Green.

Each one different.

Yet, together, they form a single scene.

People pass by.

Some stop. Some do not.

But the sky has already changed.

It is no longer empty.

It holds something.

A season.

A memory.

A quiet continuation of life.

Children run beneath them.

Families walk along the river.

The wind moves without asking.

And above it all, the koinobori remain.

Not as symbols alone.

Not as decoration.

But as part of the landscape.

A moment that belongs to this place.

To this time.

To this country.

Spring in Japan is not only seen.

It is felt.

And sometimes, it is carried in the sky.
