The First Cool Breeze

The First Cool Breeze

Autumn Arrives Quietly Series Vol.1

Autumn rarely arrives all at once.

Sometimes, it begins with a single breeze.

The afternoon may still feel like summer. Sunlight remains strong, the trees are still green,  and cicadas have not completely disappeared from the day.

Then, for just a moment, the air changes.

A cool breeze passes through an open window.

It moves the curtain gently, touches your skin, and disappears almost as quickly as it came.

Nothing around you looks particularly different.

But you notice it.

After weeks of heavy summer air, even the smallest touch of coolness can feel surprising.

Perhaps you stop for a moment.

Perhaps you open the window a little wider.

Something about the first cool breeze of the season feels comforting. It asks for nothing. It does not announce that summer has ended or that autumn has arrived.

It simply passes through.

And somehow, that is enough.

The seasons often change this way.

Not through a single dramatic moment, but through small things we begin to notice one by one.

A softer evening.

A quieter sky.

A different sound outside the window.

And now, a cool breeze.

The trees will change later.

The mornings will grow cooler.

Autumn will become easier to see.

But before we see it, perhaps we feel it.

Just for a moment.

In the first cool breeze.
